Meet Mike
On the homeowner's side
Michael "Mike" DeRita started in public adjusting in 1994. He spent 20 years negotiating claims at three of the top public adjusting firms in the area, then started Expert Claim Solutions.
Before that, he earned a degree in Business and Real Estate Management from Temple University and worked in real estate, buying and rehabbing rental homes around Philadelphia. He knows construction firsthand.
He's worked catastrophes on the ground: six months in Florida after Hurricanes Charley and Ivan, eight months in Louisiana after Katrina, and three months in Galveston, Texas, after Ike. Then Superstorm Sandy flooded his own home in Brigantine, NJ.
He knows what it's like to see your own home underwater.
